The Challenge

Bexifunding was relying on WordPress form plugins that were expensive, slow, and difficult to customize. Monthly plugin costs continued to add up while still limiting flexibility and performance.

They needed a faster, fully controlled application system that could eliminate recurring plugin expenses while improving the user experience and internal workflow visibility.

The Solution

I rebuilt the application experience as a custom four-step funding form using Django, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, backed by dedicated API endpoints for data handling and automation. The new system removes the dependency on expensive WordPress plugins while giving Bexifunding full control over the application workflow.

The form is designed as a progressive multi-step flow that captures applicant data in stages, including basic information, business details, personal information, and document verification. Each step saves data to the database, allowing users to safely resume incomplete applications from an email recovery link.

The system also automates key operational tasks such as PDF generation, email notifications, and Google Sheets synchronization, ensuring both applicants and the Bexi team receive structured, real-time application data
